Zapp closes the album with “Best of My Love”, a heartfelt ballad that turns the song into a statement. George Clinton was a man who loved his family, and this song is an ode to his three daughters, Liz, Perla, and Zenobia.

The king of the P-Funk, Roger is featured on two of the best tracks on the album: a funk workout about Andy Warhol’s fame, “Andy Warhol”, and “I Found a Love”. The latter reached No.5 in 1982, making it the first of George Clinton’s solo songs to reach the top 10 on the Hot 100. This track was also the first of George Clinton’s solo songs to hit the Top 10 in any era.

Zapp gets the big ballad, a tasteful cover of the Temptations single “Cloud Nine”. Considered by many to be the best version of the song, the Temptations version is a more optimistic song than the typical soul ballads of the period and the Zapp unit was a less gloomy outfit than the Funkadelic organ-heavy P-Funk.

Also up is a group effort with The Headhunters, “You Don’t Have to Take Our Word For It”. The track, a remake of the classic female vocal track “You Don’t Have To Be So Strong”, was a hit for the group and became the most successful single for the group.

This is a great budget album, easily one of Zapp's best, and a perfect soundtrack for the eighties. This is as good as if not better than anything with the George Clinton name on it. The only real knock is it is an often fun collection of music, but not the greatest hits.

Overall, All the Greatest Hits is a very good compilation, with some of the better P-Funk songs and some of the worst. The CD is a good choice for those who are new to the P-Funk catalog. For hardcore P-Funk heads, however, there are better compilations. There is no doubt that this is one of the best P-Funk compilations, but if you were to choose one, I would suggest the best of the four sets, Blacktronic. It is a great disc with the best soul cuts. The All the Greatest Hits is a good disc, but the soul songs are weaker.
