Department or contract school administrators may take no more than two years upon graduation to develop and adopt policies governing which materials individual students will be allowed to receive pursuant to subdivision one of this section. Departure from this standard by individual school administrators should be based upon sound educational judgments by such individuals with appropriate consultation with the criminal and juvenile justice information policy group. Different degrees of strictness in the implementation or administration of any policy by individual school administrators may be appropriate. No policies or procedures restricting the content of any book or other reading material that a student may receive in a public school shall be adopted by the state board of education unless such policies or procedures have first been adopted pursuant to section 107.716 of the Revised Code, and unless such policies or procedures are consistent with the provisions of this section.
Antistalking orders may be issued for a period of one year prior to a juvenile's seventeenth birthday only on a showing that an incident of domestic violence precedes each such order by at least one year. Prior to issuing an antistalking order under this section, the court shall find by clear and convincing evidence that in the twelve month period immediately preceding the filing of the case, the juvenile's family has engaged in an incident of domestic violence in which the juvenile was a victim.
Community school districts and community colleges that voluntarily license teachers for elementary and secondary school services are prohibited by this section from engaging in activities that interfere with the content of instructional materials provided under section 109.0301 of the Revised Code.
(j) The community school or the community college district school board, as applicable, shall have in place by January 1, 2012, a certification process for the identification and evaluation of instructional materials supplied directly to students in the course of studying the educational content specified by division one of section 109.0301 of the Revised Code. d2c66b5586
